about me
Hey, nice to meet you! I’m Axis, a freelancer living in a cozy little house in midcoast Maine. I’ve had an eclectic career path (ask me about working at a bat hospital), but most of those experiences have always involved me being a storyteller in some capacity or another.
I devoted my time working in genetics research to making dense scientific info accessible to everyday audiences. I worked as a museum educator, keeping tour groups fascinated by thousands of years of local history. I’ve spent most of my life being a performer on stage, screen, and audio, making audiences laugh and cry (sometimes at the same time).
All this to say, I’m well equipped to tell your stories and tell them really well. I’m passionate about pulling out meaningful moments from the mundane and making even ostensibly “boring” topics interesting enough to make people want to listen. I feel like it’s way too easy to make social media and copywriting trite and I want to help you connect with readers in a way that’s genuine and refreshing in an often oversaturated space.
As a lifelong jack of all trades, I love that freelancing lets me work with so many diverse clients in different fields! It’s always a joy to get to meet new people, find out what you’re passionate about, and dive deep into researching what makes your business tick.
In my free time, I’m a content creator, fiction writer, horror movie enthusiast, house plant aficionado, hair and makeup artist, and nonstop tea drinker.
Think we’d work well together?
